General usage

This library can be used with SOUND4 .CL HD and WEB processing families. This extension supports Live and File processing.

Watermarking is inserted before final limiter.

Metadata

Metadata is especially useful in file mode, so you do not have to go to the web interface to configure the Watermarking.

For this extension, metadata is consumed only at startup.

The metadata can be send to the process at startup by using its SetMetadata function before calling its StartUpdateThread function.

The following metadata can be passed :

• KANTAR_Login : The Kantar login for online licenses
• KANTAR_Password : The Kantar password for online licenses
• KANTAR_LicenseID : The license ID to be used for the embedding process
• KANTAR_LicenseName : The license name to be used for the embedding process (instead of KANTAR_LicenseID)
• KANTAR_ChannelName : The channel name to be used for the embedding process
• KANTAR_OfflineLicense : Use offline license instead of online (0/1)
• KANTAR_LicPath : Path where the offline licenses are stored
• KANTAR_SilentOnError : Output silence if in error instead of input (0/1)

and in file mode you can also pass:

• KANTAR_ReportPath : Set the directory where reports are saved
• KANTAR_InputFileName : The input filename
• INPUT_FILENAME : The input filename (if no KANTAR_InputFileName)
• KANTAR_MetadataFilePath : The path to the metadata file (JSON or XML format), fields overriden automatically
• KANTAR_UniqueContentId : The Unique content identifier
• KANTAR_FileDuration : The file duration in second (default: using FILE_MODE value)
• KANTAR_FileOffset : The file offset duration in seconds
• KANTAR_BBis : First time stamp that will be embedded during the watermarking (YYYY-MM-DDThh:mm:ssZ)
• KANTAR_Metadata3 : 3rd Metadata (when no BBIS)
• KANTAR_Metadata4 : 4th Metadata
• KANTAR_Metadata5 : 5th Metadata
• KANTAR_Metadata6 : 6th Metadata
• KANTAR_Metadata7 : 7th Metadata
• KANTAR_Metadata8 : 8th Metadata

Installation

You just have to put this library, with its Kantar's software companions, in the same directory of the process, and it will detect and use it, if possible.

You can check in the About window, it should appear with its version.

You will need a Watermark.CL license activated by SOUND4.

If needed, you can select a different Kantar license server than the default by setting the variables (from env or params):
